LEGIONELLA PREVENTION SYSTEMS
LEGION 1 – DOSING KIT FOR THE PREVENTION OF LEGIONELLA
The LEGION 1 kit is part of the LEGION line by STEIEL, designed for the correct use of chemical products in the prevention treatment of legionella in hot water, on sanitary systems.
The biocide product is dosed proportionally to the flow rate of the water to be treated, by means of a pump equipped with a self-bleeding head and a reinforced diaphragm, suitable for dosing chlorine dioxide or other oxidant, safely and without waste.
The standard kit is supplied with accessories for dosing a biocide stored in airtight drums; in case of using a product stored in normal tanks, order a suitable suction lance.
- The kit includes:
- PSP161-PKTT/AS multi-function pump, with “full PTFE” diaphragm, self-venting head and alarm relay for signalling dosing anomalies
- Flow Control Sensor, assembled on a special mounting bracket
- Wall mounting bracket, with rotating shelf
- Two bottles for the correct disposal of the biocide
- Injection valve and PTFE dosing tube
- On request, the pump can be equipped with an RS485 serial port (as an alternative to the alarm relay).

LEGION 2 – PANEL - ASSEMBLED SYSTEM FOR THE PREVENTION OF LEGIONELLA
The LEGION 2 panel is part of the LEGION line by STEIEL and has been designed for the constant and complete disinfection of domestic hot water circuits, for the prevention of legionella.
It is suitable for dosing a biocide and a protective product for the hydraulic circuit proportionally to the flow rate of the water to be treated, by means of two specific multifunction pumps.
The biocide dosing pump is equipped with a self-bleeding head and a reinforced diaphragm, resistant to chlorine dioxide or other oxidants.
The standard version is supplied with accessories for dosing a biocide stored in airtight drums; if using product stored in normal tanks, order a suitable suction lance.
- Panel 600 x 500 mm, with four holes for wall fixing
- The panel includes two multi-function pumps, mounted on brackets with a rotating shelf
- Biocide pump, PSP161-PKTT/AS, with:
- “full PTFE” diaphragm and self-venting head
- Flow Control sensor assembled on a special mounting bracket
- PTFE injection valve and dosing tube
- Film forming product pump, PSP161-PKT, with:
- Flow Control sensor assembled directly on the delivery valve
- Suction/delivery/purging pipes, injection valve, suction lance for 25/50 L canister
- Both pumps are equipped with alarm relays, to signal dosing anomalies.
- Junction box with signal splitter, to control both pumps with a single volumetric meter
- Two bottles for the correct disposal of the biocide
- On request, the pumps can be equipped with an RS485 serial port (as an alternative to the alarm relay)
LEGION 2+M – PANEL - ASSEMBLED SYSTEM FOR THE PREVENTION OF LEGIONELLA
The LEGION 2+M panel is part of the LEGION line by STEIEL and has been designed for the constant and complete disinfection of domestic hot water circuits, for the prevention of legionella.
The biocide product analysis system allows for precise and guaranteed dosing for the entire time of use, compensating for any losses in the dosed product title.
It is suitable for dosing a biocide and a protective product for the hydraulic circuit proportionally to the flow rate of the water to be treated, by means of two specific multifunction pumps.
The biocide dosing pump is equipped with a head with self-bleeding option and a reinforced diaphragm, resistant to chlorine dioxide or other oxidant.
The biocide dosing can be proportional to the flow rate and monitored, and possibly limited, by a specific measuring instrument, or it can only be proportional to the measurement.
The measuring system uses an amperometric sensor, capable of working at high temperatures and pressure, and also allows checking for operating anomalies, such as dirt or failure of the measuring sensor, breakages or leaks on the biocide product dosing line.
The standard version is supplied with accessories for dosing a biocide stored in hermetic drums; in case of using a product stored in normal tanks, order a suitable suction lance.

- S507 instrument for monitoring biocide concentration
- amperometric sensor for measuring chlorine or chlorine dioxide in hot water, assembled in a flow-through probe holder with inlet flow regulation, proximity sensor, temperature probe with PT100 sensor, pin for sample water analysis
- 50 µm steel mesh filter
- two multi-function pumps, mounted on brackets with rotating shelf:
- Biocide pump, PSP161-PKTT/AS, with:
- “full PTFE” diaphragm and self-venting head
- Flow Control sensor assembled on a special mounting bracket
- PTFE injection valve and dosing tube

LEGION 3+M – PANEL - ASSEMBLED SYSTEM FOR THE PREVENTION OF LEGIONELLA
The LEGION 3+M panel is part of the LEGION line by STEIEL and has been designed for the constant and complete disinfection of domestic hot water circuits, for the prevention of legionella.
The biocide product analysis system allows for precise and guaranteed dosing for the entire time of use, compensating for any losses in the dosed product title.
This solution is suitable for treatments on both the cold water of the system and on mixed hot water.
It is suitable for dosing a biocide and a protective product for the hydraulic circuit proportionally to the flow rate of the water to be treated, by means of two specific multifunction pumps.
Furthermore, this version includes a third pump for a second dosing of biocide product, monitored and controlled by a specific measuring instrument, equipped with an amperometric sensor capable of working at high temperatures and under pressure.
The biocide dosing pumps are equipped with a head with self-bleeding option and a reinforced diaphragm, resistant to chlorine dioxide or other oxidants.
The analysis system allows to check for malfunctions, such as dirt or failure of the measurement sensor, breakages or leaks on the dosing line of the biocide product.
