Moisture meters accurately read the moisture content of all types of wood but of cement, plaster, brick and concrete. Home and building inspectors rely on moisture meters to identify potential problems and damage to structures from moisture buildup. Woodworking industries, such as furniture makers, use wood moisture meters to insure a quality product. Flooring contractors use moisture meters to determine ideal conditions when installing a floor over a concrete slab or subfloor.
Accurately reads elevated moisture content using cutting-edge electromagnetic wave technology that penetrates 1½” through most materials.
Non-destructive design leaves no marks and automatically calibrates to dry air. The probe can be held at any angle and reads 0 to 100% moisture in wood and drywall for building inspection, lumber, water damage repair, and other industries. The large LCD simultaneously displays current, maximum and minimum moisture content, has a bright backlight and a low battery indicator. Features adjustable audible and visible, Hi/Lo wetness risk alarm, auto-power-off and a hold function. Comes ready to use with clear instructions and 3 AAA batteries.

Accurately reads elevated moisture content in various materials for use in building inspection and other industries.
Seven material group settings cover various woods, cement, concrete, mortar, plaster, and brick. The large LCD withstands freezing temperatures, features a bright backlight, low battery indicator, and a bar graph. Also displays ambient RH, dew point, wet bulb, maximum and minimum temperatures.
The pins are minimally invasive while still having the strength to penetrate up to 5 mm through the hardest materials. Sturdy pins remain sharp even after repeated use but unscrew for easy replacement. Features built-in self-calibration and a hold function. Comes ready to use in a soft carrying case with clear instructions, and 2 AAA batteries.
Features Include:
Range | Resolution | Accuracy | |
Moisture Content | 0 to 75% | 0.1% | ±2% FS |
Temperature | 23 to 113°F -5 to 45°C | 0.1° | ±2°C |
Relative Humidity | 10 to 90% | 0.1% | ±5% |
Dew Point | 32 to 85°F 0 to 30°C | 0.1° | ±2°C |
Wet Bulb* | 23 to 113°F -5 to 45°C | 0.1° | N/A* |
*Wet Bulb value is calculated internally using the temperature and relative humidity. There is no physical wet bulb located on the meter, therefore there is no stated accuracy. |
