ELEMENTAL ANALYZER CONSUMABLES

Elemental Analyzer Consumables

VELP Scientifica offers a wide range of high performance consumables for routine operation and maintenance of the NDA analyzer including high quality quartz reactors, metallic reactors, ash collector, capsules, reagents and catalysts of efficient performance and long life, standard for calibrating the instrument (EDTA, 9.57% N), o-rings, seals and fittings.

VELP Scientifica manufactures the main consumables in-house to offer the most suitable solution for your analyzer, giving you a considerable advantage over the competition, since the instruments and consumables come from a single source to optimize analyzer performance.

Kit approximately 1000, 2000 and 4000 analyses for NDA – CN:

VELP Scientifica also offers a consumable kit, containing everything you need to analyze up to 1000, 2000 and 4000 samples. A pre-packaged solution that allows you to save time in choosing all the consumables needed to use your analyzer!

The kit contains:

  • A00000162 Quartz reactor tube
  • A00000322 Metallic ash collector
  • A00000320 Velpcatalyst with inert layer
  • A00000240 Vcopper Reduced High efficiency
  • A00000157 Copper oxide
  • A00000154 Quartz wool
  • A00000225 Anhydrone
  • A00000317 Super-Absorbent Powder
  • A00000149 EDTA
  • A00000153 Tin Foil Cups

* 1000, 2000 and 4000 is an estimated value. The effective life of the kit depends on the quantity and the kind of sample

Quartz reactor tube:

Quartz Reactor gives high visibility of consumables consumption. Best for combustion and reduction.

How to prepare the combustion Reactor tube

  • Insert the bottom part of the quartz tube into the Reactor preparation support
  • Insert the quartz wool from the top of the quartz tube and press down (to approx. 20 mm) using the Reactor tube filling rod
  • Pour the black filling of VELPCatalyst into the quartz tube using the funnel. Shake in order to compact the catalyst  and reduce the air among the particles
  • Pour the white filling of VELPCatalyst into the quartz tube using the funnel
  • Add 10 mm of quartz wool and press down using the Reactor tube filling rod
  • Insert the ash collector (already prepared with 10mm of quartz wool at the bottom)
  • Remove the Reactor preparation support

Prepare the combustion Reactor as described or choose a prepacked Reactor!

How to prepare the reduction Reactor tube

  • Insert the bottom part of the quartz tube into the Reactor preparation support
  • Insert the quartz wool from the top of the quartz tube and press down (to approx. 40 mm) using the Reactor tube filling rod
  • Pour the whole box of Vcopper high efficiency, into the quartz tube using the funnel, shaking sometimes in order to compact the Vcopper high efficiency and reduce the air among the particles. Normally one box is the filling for one quartz tube
  • Pour the copper oxide, into the quartz tube using the funnel until the level indicated above is reached (about 10mm). Do not shake
  • Insert about 10mm of quartz wool
  • Remove the Reactor preparation support

Prepare the reduction Reactor as described or choose a prepacked Reactor!

Metal reactor tube:

Best for combustion and reusable up to 3 times

1. Pre-packed combustion reactor

2. Pre-packed reduction reactor

1. Quartz ash collector

2. Ceramic ash collector with bottom

3. Metallic ash collector

The ashes produced by the combustion are collected in a dedicated ash insert. Three versions are available in order to choose the best one for your requirements.

Metallic ash collector:

  • Reusable up to 5/6 times
  • Lower cost per sample
  • Excellent resistance to high temperature and damages
  • Cleaning kit as accessory for routine maintenance and longer life (code A00000353)
