This is a hybrid of refractometer and salt meter which has an optical prism is used to measure the concentration (Brix) and titanium electrode is used to measure the salt contents.
It enables to check the balance between concentration(Brix) and salt that is the decisive factor for taste in foods in general.
In addition, we pursued the elimination of the dilution which is required for salt measurement especially for the concentrated samples like sauce.
Now, the salt concentration of samples with high concentration such as sauce can be measured without dilution.

The salt concentration is displayed in the same weight/volume ratio (g/100mL) as the titration method (Mohr method).
It is very convenient because it eliminates the process of “dilution”!
Dilution was a must process when measuring salinity for concentrated sample such as soy sauce, but the PAL-BX|SALT series has made it possible to measure without any dilution being required.

The PAL-Ramen Meister is a hybrid model that can measure the concentration and salt content of ramen soup, dashi, kaeshi and sauce all at once.
