A dissolution test is a means of identifying and proving the availability of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in their delivered form.
The DFC offline semi-automated dissolution testing systems include a dissolution bath, a pump and a fraction collector which collects the sampled dissolution media.
Automated dissolution testing in this case means sampling, measuring, and result calculation are automated. The user adds the samples when prompted to do so by the system and takes care of filling and cleaning of the vessels.
Media preparation and degassing are vital parts of a tablet dissolution test as deaerated media are critical to the reproducibility of dissolution results.
UV/VIS Spectrometers for Tablet Dissolution Applications
The T70 split-beam UV/VIS spectrophotometer offer excellent performance, high quality and are competitively priced. The T70 is well able to meet the stringent requirements required by analytical chemists. It features a wavelength range of 190 to 1100nm and is delivered with a built-in 8-cell changer as standard. It can therefore be used for both manual operation as well as for fully automated dissolution testing applications.
