Even in its basic configuration, the RTM 2200 is the ideal radon/thoron monitor for all types of radon measurements. Its outstanding features are particularly evident when it comes to solving complex measurement tasks. Thanks to its diverse connection options for additional sensors and actuators, multi-parameter measuring stations can be implemented quickly and with minimal effort. The RTM 2200 is not limited to the actual measurement but is also capable of controlling any equipment required for sampling.
By connecting additional radon chambers (soil gas probe, indoor air sensor), the radon/thoron concentration can be measured simultaneously at multiple locations with a single monitor. Additional differential pressure and temperature sensors enable, for example, the analysis of radon transport processes in and around buildings. Another application is geophysical measuring stations, where various sensors for water analysis and the measurement of geogenic gases can be integrated.
There is no cross-sensitivity to ambient radiation. The chamber is insensitive to fluctuations in humidity. The drying cartridge, which is otherwise commonly used in radon measuring devices that operate according to this measurement method, is eliminated. High-quality semiconductor radiation detectors are used in the radon measurement chamber. These enable perfect separation of the individual radon decay products using alpha spectroscopy. Quality assurance is a central element of every radiation measurement. Therefore, the RTM 2200 stores a complete alpha spectrum for each measured value, which can be used to immediately determine the proper functioning of the device at any time during the measurement.

The RTM 2200 Soil Gas is the ultimate tool for a quick, accurate and reliable in situ radon soil gas measurement (EN ISO 11665-11) by a single keystroke. The implemented sampling cycle covers the determination of the soil permeability as well as the chamber flushing with fresh air at the end of the measurement. A water inlet protection switches off the pump in case of accidentally sucking of ground water. The integrated GPS receiver makes the later mapping of sampling points easy.
The principle of real alpha spectroscopy over the entire measurement range makes the instrument the first choice for soil gas measurements.
The advantages in overview:
The unit comes in a very robust and handy case for use in harsh environmental conditions. A signal light at the top of the case indicates the end of a measurement or warns in case of very low soil permeability.
The powerful software dVISION provides all functions for data management including the display of results in the integrated map (Google™ based) as well as the export to CSV or KML files.
Of course all functions required for typical applications (long- and short-term measurements, searching for entry paths, radon in water or radon exhalation) are implemented in the RTM 2200.
Additional options:
The instrument comes with a DAkkS compliant calibration certificate. The radon calibration process fulfills the requirements of the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

The RTM 1688-2 is a versatile radon and thoron monitor covering the complete field of radon measuring. Its high sensitivity combined with its spectroscopic measuring method allow for fastest measuring even of low concentrations of radon. At the same time the concentration of thoron can be quantified.
Radon entry paths can be discovered by the “sniffing mode”. Soil gas sampling as well as radon in water measurements are simple because of the built in pump.
The operation of the radon/thoron monitor is realised by only one button. A serial printer may be connected to the interface of the RTM 1688-2 to present a protocol directly on site.
The radon/thoron monitor can be directly connected to a modem for remote data transmission. The Radon Vision software (included in delivery) handles the remote connection as simply as a direct cable link.
The measurement chamber is not sensitive against humidity variations; a drying tube, commonly used in such instrument types, is not required.
Special attention was paid for the issue of quality assurance. Each stored data record contains a complete alpha spectrum which shows the error-free operation of the instrument for each single integration interval. Any number of measurement series may be created by starting/stopping the data acquisition. The data stored within the instrument can be read by PC even if a measurement is in progress.
The small chamber volume of only 250 ml must be pointed out. The measurement of probes taken from small and limited volumes is possible due to this property.
The radon/thoron monitor RTM 1688-2 can be powered either by a mains power adapter or by the internal battery which gives an autonomous operation time up to 14 days.
The instrument is equipped with sensors for temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. An integrated tilt detector will give a signal if the radon/thoron monitor has been removed from its original position during the measurement.
The instrument comes with a DAkkS compliant calibration certificate. Our radon calibration process fulfills the requirements of the DIN ISO/IEC EN 17025:2018.

The required fast exchange rate of sampled air is realized by a highly permeable chamber placed outside of the instruments enclosure. The relative thoron sensitivity reached with this setup is comparable with those of pump based instruments.
The modified measurement chamber has been derived from the Radon Scout while the electronics comes from the RTM 1688-2. That means, more than 2000 data records including a complete alpha spectrum can be stored. Of course, sensors for barometric pressure, temperature and humidity are integrated as well.
The Thoron Scout offers a larger display compared with the Radon Scout. The replaceable batteries allow an autonomous operation of approximately one month. It is possible to operate the unit by mains power resulting in unlimited sampling periods.
A switch output can be used for alert purposes or to control ventilation equipment.
The instrument comes with a DAkkS compliant calibration certificate. The calibration process for Radon (Rn-222) fulfills the requirements of the DIN ISO/IEC EN 17025:2018.

The Radon Scout offers the highest senitivity of its class exceeding the sensitivity of its competitors many times. This results in the lowest detection limit and statistical error. The thousands of times proven and US-EPA certified instrument will show the time distribution of radon even at levels below 100 Bq/m³. Thus, meteorological influences as well as ventilation effects can be detected easily.
Due to its outstanding sensitivity, the instrument is perfectly suited for direct controlling of ventilation equipment by a potential-free switch contact. As an accessory, we offer a wireless switch which can be directly connected to the instrument. Thus, very low effort is required to control fans such as kitchen hoods, wall or window ventilators anywhere in your home. It is even possible to upgrade older instruments. The switch threshold for the Radon Scout is fixed to the EU target value of 300 Bq/m³ whilst the Radon Scout PLUS allows user specific settings.
Two standard D-size cells enable an autonomous operation over a few months. The radon detector Radon Scout PLUS offers an additional connection for an external power supply. In fact, this allows an operation over infinite time periods.
The size of the data memory was designed to get a high-resolution time distribution. Any number of measurement series may be created. The acquired data can be loaded by a PC even if a measurement is in progress.
The included Radon Vision software allows sophisticated data evaluation and handles remote connection as simple as a direct cable link.
Because of the high sensitivity, variations of the activity concentration will detected accurately even in case of low radon levels. The radon detector works in diffusion mode so that a possible influence of thoron can be excluded. The measurement chamber, equipped with a semiconductor detector and high voltage collection, is immune to ambient humidity.
Sensors for temperature and humidity (barometric pressure in addition in case of Radon Scout PLUS) are very useful add-ons. The integrated tilt detector will give a signal if the radon detector was moved from its original position during the measurement.
The instrument has been certified by the US-EPA/NRSB and other international authorities.
The instrument comes with a DAkkS compliant calibration certificate.
