Bio-Shield AHD is a quantitative ELISA test for the determination of nitrofurantoin metabolite AHD in honey, meat, muscle and seafood samples. This highly sensitive ELISA kit can give results in 30 minutes without any cross reactivity with other antibiotic metabolites. AHD (1-aminohydantoin) is a nitrofurantoin metabolite monitored as part of the nitrofuran metabolite group, used to detect the illegal use of nitrofurantoin in food-producing animals.
