The humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter is a powerful moisture tester with sword probe (see picture) for humidity measurement in paper stacks. To determine humidity, the sword sensor only has to be inserted into the paper stack and left there for a short conditioning time.
Via the integrated datalog the measuring values can be stored on the humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter and additional data can be added. You also have the possibility to use the Autolog function. This function automatically saves measuring values in adjustable time intervals.
In order to prevent a damage of the sword sensor when using the humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter in heavy paper stacks, a sword sensor holder and a tool for removing the sword sensor holder are available optionally. Before inserting the humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter, the sword sensor holder is driven in the paper stack and enables a measurement without any falsification of the measuring value. For an easy removal of the sword sensor holder after drawing out the humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter, the tool for removing the sword sensor holder is used.
Simultaneously, the humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter also measures the material temperature and includes it in the calculation of the measuring result. The temperature range goes from -10 °C to +60 °C and can be set to °C or °F as required.

Measurement and handling:
Turn on the measuring meter, select the correct characteristic (dependent on the fibre type) and insert the meter into the pile. The measured result is immediately shown on the display. This allows to measure large quantities of cellulose / pulp in a very short time without removing single layers from the piles.
The device has a memory for up to 10,000 readings as well as the option to record additional data, such as a charge number. The device automatically calculates the average value for each saved measurement series. The measuring device has two robust electrodes, which have to be inserted into the pile.
On the back of the device is a removable handle for easy use of the device.
The optionally available USB interface enables you to transfer the measured results to a PC and archive, evaluate, export or print them using the LogMemorizer PC software.

The RH1 air thermo- hygrometer is an easy-to-use device for the rapid determination of the relative and absolute air humidity as the dew point temperature of the surrounding air.
In addition, by storing the device at wood or paper, the equilibrium moisture content (EMC) and the water content in the material can be determined. At the same time the current temperature – optionally in °C or °F – is displayed by each measurement.
The measuring range of the RH1 thermo- hygrometer is between 0 and 100% relative humidity at a resolution of 0.1%. The calibrated measurement range, in which the measurement is within the defined tolerance limits, ranges from 10% to 90% of the relative humidity, where the accuracy of ±1.5% of relative humidity (at 25 ° C) is reached.
The temperature measurement range is from -10 to +60 ° C or 14 to 140 ° F, at a resolution of 0.1 ° C. The accuracy is ± 0.4 ° C.
It is also possible to save the current readings manually or to save them automatically at defined intervals. The device can record up to 10,000 readings, which can be provided with additional information such as the location of measurement, batch number or supplier data.
On the request, the device is also available with the USB data interface for the connection to a PC. Using this interface with the supplied USB cable and included PC software “LogMemorizer” you can transfer your stored values to the PC, where you can edit, analyze and store the data.
If you opt for the RH1 with interface, you can print stored measurements directly from the device on the available separate printer without needing to transfer the data to your PC.

Moisture meter for the determination of moisture in waste paper / recycling paper and for the detection of moisture spots in recycling paper bales.
Measurement of compressed bales, roles and pulp possible. Measuring range of 1 to 50% water content, measuring depth 500mm. Furthermore it is possible to connect external sensors to the humimeter RP6.
Use the optionally available humidity and temperature sensor to measure environmental parameters and many other important paper key figures quickly and efficiently.
To measure loose paper or cardboard, use the optionally available 0.3 meter long insertion probe.
Measuring procedure:
Start your humimeter RP6 by pushing the black button on the handle of the device. Choose the right calibration curve (e.g. 350 recycling paper) and press the measuring plate against the waste paper bale. The display immediately shows the water content and temperature. Now additional information like supplier’s data and notes can be added. The measuring values can be stored at the humimeter RP6 and sent to a PC if required.
Furthermore the measuring results can be printed out on the spot via the optionally available portable thermo printer. For the determination of many other relevant process parameters, a humidity and temperature sensor can be connected.

Applications
At-line moisture analyser with PC software for determination of water content of single paper sheets
The PMSA is a laboratory instrument for the determination of absolute water content of single paper sheets. Contrary to the traditional kiln-drying method, the PMSA paper moisture analyser determines the water content within a few seconds. The PMSA can be used for analysing samples taken directly from the paper machine as well as for the incoming and exit control of paper sheets.
The analysis of the measuring results is effected on the PC – the intuitive software provides a user-friendly interface for the display of measuring values, calibration of further paper types and the management of measuring data. The state-of-the-art and long-term stable sensor technology guarantees precise measuring values and extremely high repeat accuracy. To ensure a maximum of accuracy, the system performs a self-calibration of the sensor before each measurement.
Measuring procedure / handling
After installing the PMSA software on your PC, connect the PMSA moisture sensor to the PC via USB cable. Select the paper type to measure in the software and click the start button. To ensure a maximum of accuracy, the system performs a self-calibration of the sensor before each measurement – this only takes several seconds.
When the self-calibration is completed, insert the paper sheet to measure. After a few seconds the determined water content is shown on the screen.
Now additional data like a batch number can be added and the measuring values can be saved in a database. The measuring data can also be exported (csv, html, xls) or printed out. Via the software, further paper types can be created and calibrated easily.
