ENERGY SAVING AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Respect for the environment has always been in the DNA of the Desmon Group. This vocation is confirmed by decades of continuous commitment to the search for efficient production processes that respect the environment. Desmon has always been attentive to each phase of the life cycle of its products, from design to disposal, with the aim of minimizing the environmental impact and increasing the benefits for the customer (lower energy costs).

As proof of its constant commitment, Desmon has obtained ISO 14001 certification . Environmental protection is so deeply felt in Desmon that it involves every single company activity and all the various phases of the product’s life cycle. Desmon was among the first companies in the world to use cyclopentane foam for the thermal insulation of its products, a gas that does not damage the ozone layer and does not produce a greenhouse effect. Cyclopentane replaces HCFC and CFC based polyurethane foams, which are extremely harmful to the environment.

Desmon is constantly looking for new solutions to create products that have minimal environmental impact. Among these solutions, Desmon has developed refrigeration units that use R290 natural gas which guarantees superior efficiency compared to traditional refrigerant gases and makes refrigerators 40% quieter .
