Illegal Additives

Melamine is sometimes illegally added to food products such as dairy products in order to increase the apparent protein content. Ingestion of melamine may lead to reproductive damage, or bladder or kidney stones, and bladder cancer. The detection of illegal additives such as melamine in raw milk is of great concern for the dairy industry because of the potential interfering and adverse effects of illegal additives frequently found in raw milk.

Intended Use

Melamine Rapid Test Kit (cassette) is a lateral flow assay that determines the presence of melamine residues in raw milk. This test is designed for on-site rapid detection in various enterprises, testing institutions and supervision departments. 

1. Different batches of test strips, microwells and QR codes cannot mixed use.
2. Store test kits at 2-8˚C when not in use, and do not use the kits beyond the expiration date.
3. The sample to be tested must be a homogeneous liquid which cannot be agglomerated, fermented, rancid precipitated, etc., and cannot be colostrum.
