Multiparameter Testers banner

Many applications require a pH/EC, pH/TDS, or pH/ORP measurements. The pH/EC/TDS parameters are commonly measured in agriculture, including hydroponics and greenhouses, printing industry fountain solutions, and basic water quality including boiler and cooling tower treatments. The measurement of both pH and ORP is important in spas and swimming pools, food disinfection, and plating wastewater treatment. Our COMBO® meters feature a multi-level LCD that displays both temperature and the parameter of interest but also has indicators for instability, calibration, and battery level.

Combo pH/Conductivity/TDS Tester (Low Range) - HI98129

The HI98129 is a highly accurate, waterproof pH meter that can also measure EC/TDS in the low range (0 to 3999 µS/cm EC/ 0 to 2000 ppm TDS) and temperature. This floating, waterproof combination tester has an easy to read, LCD and an automatic shut-off. In addition, pH and EC/TDS readings are automatically temperature compensated (ATC) to prevent temperature-related variations in your measurements. For EC/TDS readings, the EC/TDS conversion factor (CONV) is selectable by the user, as well as the temperature compensation coefficient β (BETA).

Replaceable pH Electrode Cartridge

The HI98129 tester features an easy to replace pH electrode cartridge with an extendable cloth junction. The extendable cloth junction helps increase electrode life and the replaceable pH cartridge means that this tester does not need to be thrown away when the pH sensor is exhausted. Also, the sturdy, snap-in connector means there are no pins to bend or break!

High Accuracy EC/TDS Graphite Probe

The graphite conductivity probe provides greater accuracy because it cannot be contaminated by salt deposits in the solution. The exposed temperature sensor provides fast response times and guarantees highly accurate temperature compensated readings.

Combo pH/Conductivity/TDS Tester (High Range) - HI98130

The HI98130 makes measuring pH quick and easy! This lightweight, waterproof tester offers high accuracy pH, high range EC/TDS (0.00 to 20.00 mS/cm EC/ 0.00 to 10.00 ppt TDS) and temperature measurements in a single handheld unit! No more switching between meters for your routine measurements. Great for hydroponics, aquariums, pools, & ponds/p>

GroLine Hydroponic Waterproof Pocket pH/EC/TDS/Temperature Tester - HI98131

The HI98131 GroLine tester features a large multi level LCD which displays both pH, EC or TDS and temperature readings simultaneously. The pH readings are displayed with a 0.01 resolution and with an accuracy of +/-0.05 pH, while the EC and TDS readings are displayed with a 0.01 mS/cm and 10 ppm (mg/L) resolution and 2% full scale accuracy. The EC range of the HI98131 is from 0.01 to 6.00 mS/cm and TDS is from 0 to 3000 ppm using a 0.5 conversion factor. The HI98131 also offers the option to use a 0.7 (700 ppm) EC to TDS conversion factor. An exposed temperature sensor allows for rapid temperature compensated measurements of EC and TDS. The LCD screen has indicators for calibration status and stability. The battery percent level is displayed at start up alerting the user to the remaining battery power that is available.  The HI98131 is a versatile pocket meter designed for hydroponics, greenhouse and agriculture applications.

Simplified one button calibration

One or two point pH calibration is automatic to a pre-programmed buffer set (4.01, 7.01 and 10.01) or single point pH and EC calibration with the Hanna Quick Cal calibration solution. To perform a quick cal calibration, simply press and hold the left power/mode button while in measurement mode for three seconds and let go to enter calibration mode. Once both pH and EC are calibrated “CAL OK” is displayed and the meter returns to measurement mode.

HI73127 Replaceable pH electrode

The HI99131 is supplied with the HI73127 replaceable pH electrode. This electrode features an extractable junction that can be pulled 1/8″ out to clear any clogging that results in drifting and erratic readings.

pH ORP Temperature Combo Tester - HI98121

The HI98121 is a lightweight ergonomically designed tester. This tester is designed to float making it ideal for taking readings virtually anywhere. With the HI98121 it is possible to monitor both pH and ORP at the same time. The HI98121 is commonly used to monitor pH and chlorine for many applications including swimming, food sanitization, plating wastewater treatment, and cooling tower water treatment.

By definition pH is the measurement of the voltage generated by an electrochemical cell at zero current. The potential generated is proportional to the thermodynamic activity of the ion being measured.

Similar to a pH measurement that quantifies the how acidic or alkaline solutions are, ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) measurements quantify the overall state of a solution as having the ability to oxidize or reduce a chemical species. Oxidizing and reducing reagents are used to participate in chemical reactions known as a redox reaction.

An ORP sensor must be chemically inert; it cannot be oxidized or reduced itself. It must also have the proper surface characteristics to promote rapid electron exchange, a property known as high exchange current density. Two noble metals have proven to work well for this purpose: pure platinum and pure gold are both used in the construction of ORP sensors.

Features at-a-glance:

  • Waterproof
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation
